LENN cruises onto the dancefloor with new single | ‘Riding Shotgun’
2018 has been a great year for music. The number of new artists who’ve burst onto the scene and left an impact is ridiculous, but none have made a harder impact than LENN. Since the release of her debut ‘I Know How’, the Bristol singer-songwriter has carved a corner in the music world with a steady stream of solid sounds. Second single ‘Cheap Talk’ caused us to jump on the bandwagon back in June and we’ve been part of the ride ever since. An interview later and suddenly we have ‘Riding Shotgun’, LENN’s newest single and possibly our new favourite too.
‘Riding Shotgun’ comes loaded with textured synths washing over little blips of percussion as further synths proceed to swell and breathe against the airwaves. The groove is a little more composed than before, but boy does it know how to sink into the hips. LENN’s vocals croon their way through the layers of sound, and deliver a host of well-placed hooks to create what’s easily her most matured, danciest tune yet.
Just when you thought George Ezra had the shotgun quota covered, LENN comes along with a double-barrelled dose of electronic goodness that really leaves a mark. Take that, George. You bastard.
