Good Sounds Playlist / Pure Luxury
Hello everyone, welcome to this week’s roundup of the Good Sounds Playlist. These roundup posts talk about the songs that’ve been added to the playlist and provide links to each artist’s social media pages. This is used to act as a bridge between artists and potential new fans which, especially in these current times, is quite important. This lockdown has made me realise I’m somebody who’s rubbish at maintaining relationships, and am often caught up in my own things to the point I forget to check up on the good people in life. I’ve also realised using leaves to wipe your arse works just as well (if not, better!) than loo roll.
Anyway, this roundup post is named Pure Luxury after the fantastic new single from NZCA Lines. It’s become a new favourite of mine, and I’ll be reviewing it in full fanboy mode later on this week. It’s got a kind of eclectic prowess to it that leads in really nicely with Scott Goodwin’s “Dirty”, another song that’s so over the top and bizarre. I can’t help but love it. There’s a lot of feel good songs featured, including Augustine’s “Picking Up Speed”, Natalie Shay’s “Owe It To You” and City Mouth’s wonderful “Coping Machine”.
I’ve been listening to lot of heavier tunes as well (Metallica’s Black album is my go to when running) so the new songs from Kingswood, The Brave Faces, Autos Jaquet and Roadkeeper are really satisfying my cravings for some crunchy guitars. I’d also like to thank Midnight Vesta, Bedd and Sody for their new songs too.
As always, thank you for listening to the Good Sounds Playlist. I hope you have a lovely week and wash your hands! Keep your distance! All that good stuff. See you next time.
