The Harriets – ‘Harry’ | Single Review

The Harriets are a band from Leeds and this is their new single ‘Harry’. These guys seem to be building quite a bit of buzz, having won a Bingley Music live slot and receiving airplay on BBC 6Music, so it makes sense to get into them now before everyone else so you seem really, really cool. Come on, enjoy it, and bathe in the glory.

‘Harry’ is a scrappy affair with the band very wisely re-recording the track under a live setting to capture their natural, raw energy. The guitars are hellbent on delivering distorted riffs throughout, while the bass struts it’s way through the mix, and the drums seem so close to breaking that it makes for seriously entertaining listening. I don’t know who this Harry guy is, but he’s helped make a great song from The Harriets.
